Si potrebbe scrivere un libro con la storia di questa forte donna Assergese. Sarebbe anche un libro buono per farci un film. La sua storia la conosciamo. Dagli episodi allegri e spensierati della sua giovinezza, a quelli della sua vita in Australia; meno allegri, perché quella per lei è stata una vita dura, durissima ma che ha saputo gestire col suo orgoglio e la sua grande forza. Noi, qui, la vogliamo ricordare per l’allegria che ha sempre emanato, per quella simpatia unica che solo lei aveva. Lei lascia, in ciascuno di noi un messaggio ben chiaro. Un messaggio all’amore e, nello stesso tempo, un inno alla vita. “La vita vivetela come faccio io in modo positivo ed allegro tanto i problemi restano lo stesso”. Lascia, negli animi di molti che l’hanno conosciuta, il ricordo dei luoghi visitati nelle innumerevoli gite da lei organizzate, luoghi che mai avebbero visto. Lascia nei cuori l’allegrezza e la gaia spensieratezza delle sue feste dove il ballo era l’ospite d’onore. Lascia il messaggio dell’amore verso i figli, due dei quali lontani ma sempre presenti dentro di lei. L’amore che aveva per i nipoti Sara e Marco ma anche per quelli lontani: Jodie, Sarah, Katie, Ian, Brenton, Steven e per i suoi bis-nipoti dai nomi per lei impronunciabili, Phinehas e Gideon. Lascia a tutte le amiche della piazza il messaggio di ricordarla nei loro discorsi. Ha voluto bene a tutti e tutti hanno voluto bene a lei. Non lascia alcun nemico. C’è una frase che lei, avrebbe voluto pronunciare: “Sono andata dove vanno le mosche dell’estate….. prendetemi se vi riesce!!!!”

She loved everybody, everyone loved her. She leaves no enemies.

It would be possible to write a book about the story of this strong woman from Assergi. It would be good enough to make a movie. We all know her life from hilarious episodes of her youth to, then, less laughter during her life in Australia, as it was hard, very, very hard. But she managed with her pride and her incredible strongth. Here we want to remenber her because of the happiness she has always been able to emanate; for that unique sympatia she had. She leaves inside all of us a message very clear; a message about love and at the same time anthem to live by: “You shall live your life positively as I do, and live happily because the problems will remain anyway”. She lives in the soul of the many people she met and the remembering of the places visited during the many trips she organized: places they would never have otherwise had the opportunity to see.
